entry no. 6
oh well hello there. i didn’t update on halloween because we didn’t leave our house until damn near MIDNIGHT (i am too old to be doing this, i should be in bed, fast asleep, by midnight). anywho… e and i went out with our friends. we “pregamed” a little bit at our house first. i put pregamed in quotation marks because we drank a little bit, and then sat and watched the secret lives of mormon wives for about an hour while eating cookies and chips. my kind of party. i keep getting sidetracked. okay. we went out to a bar for about 45-ish minutes, and then we left to go to a different bar/club because the one we were at just wasn’t the vibe. and boy is there a story incoming.
so picture this, right. we park in a parking garage that is on one of the busiest streets in columbus because it is very close to the osu campus. we walk out of the parking garage to go to the club. we’re walking down the street, people are everywhere, it’s like.. 1:30 am at this point (give or take), we’re about to cross the street to get in line for this club. GUNSHOTS. RIGHT BY US. everyone around us starts ducking and running. i grab e’s hand, my friend’s boyfriend grabs her hand, we start running back to the car. we eventually get to the car to see that someone had been SHOT IN THE NECK AT OUR EXACT LOCATION. there were cops everywhere. people already cannot drive in ohio, this was a horrid situation. cops were chasing the two guys on foot through the streets on downtown columbus on halloween. it was a lot. do not fret, my little friends, we all were okay physically (i hadn’t ran in so long, so me a little less than everyone else, but hey. none of us got shot). anyways, i will have some pictures below of me and of me and e on halloween. everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but i think we looked pretty damn good.
i will leave you with this: halloween never ends if you constantly live in a halloween state of mind. stay spooky, little people in my screen. until next time…
